• Where this will be held on campus? This will be on the academic (south) side of campus, in the open field next to the oak grove and the nearby buildings
• Is this a reoccurring thing or is this an inaugural event? This is the inaugural event – but, we plan to make it annual
• What activities are planned?  Live music on stage, food and drink trucks, academic building open for tours (3-5pm), children’s play area, American Red Cross blood drive (10am-3pm), classic car drive-in, cornhole tournament, and university memorabilia on sale
• Can you explain the open house? This will be guided tours of our academic buildings (Vardell Bldg., Liberal Arts Bldg., Morgan Jones Science Bldg., and DeTamble Library)
• Why this is being held? We want to bring the community and University together – we have not done this type event in many years and its time – we want the community to see and experience what is happening on campus and provide a gathering event as we prepare to for the new school year
• Who is performing? Bands will include Whiskey Pines (acoustic pop/covers group from Southern Pines); Jim Morgan (jazz trio from Laurinburg); Caeland Garner and Coleridge (SAU alum, The Voice finalist, country music, from Coleridge, NC)
