Event Description:
State Legislators to Update Citizens
The Annual Legislative Update hosted by the Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce
and Sponsored by Richmond Community College will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. at
the 1 st United Methodist Church of Laurinburg. A continental breakfast will be provided at 7:30 a.m.
The cost to attend is $6.00.
The meeting is open to the public and allows our community the opportunity to hear from our delegation
in Raleigh including Senator Tom McInnis, and State Representative Garland Pierce. The legislators are
expected to provide attendees with an update on current issues in Raleigh, as well as what they feel are
the priorities for Scotland County moving forward.
There will also be a question and answer period provided so that attendees can ask questions of
individual representatives concerning the issues they feel are important.
