If you are the owner of a small business located in a “certified” historic building, you may be eligible to receive tax credits for rehabilitation work to that building. These tax credits for income-producing buildings is 20% of qualified rehabilitation expenditures (QREs) against federal income taxes and 15-25% against state income taxes.
