The Gilbert Patterson Library in Maxton will hold a series of classes promoting healthy eating and exercise practices this spring.
Each class will also include a sampling of food and five to 10 minutes of physical activities. Each class will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the library, located at 210 N. Florence St.
The class schedule is as follow: April 4, “Taking Control;” April 11, “Moving More;” April 18, “Living Mindfully;” May 2, “Controlling Your Sodium;” May 9, “Controlling Your Fat;” May 16, “Reducing Your Added Sugar;” May 23, “Eating More Fruits, Vegetables and Whole Grains;” and May 30, “Staying in Control.”
