This four-hour CPR – Basic Life Support certification course provides what the American Heart Association refers to as high-quality training to perform CPR on adults, children and infants. Additionally, the course includes information about the American Heart Association chain of survival that encompasses six different links spanning from the early intervention from a CPR or Basic Life Support trained individual, through the post-resuscitation period. It also includes information and hands-on training regarding the use of AEDs (automated external defibrillators), providing adequate ventilation through various barrier devices and how to identify and how to remove foreign-body airway obstructions in adults and infants.
